Raising Happy Successful Children

As parents, we all want our children to be happy and successful, but not all of us know how to get them there. "Safety-Netting" is the parenting style that will do just that.

What is Safety-Net Parenting?

It's not Tiger Parenting, Snow Plow Parenting, Free Range Parenting and certainly not Helicopter Parenting.

  • Safety-Netting starts with helping our children discover their passions while making them into strengths.
  • Safety-Netters give their children enough independence to experience failure, yet are there to catch them before they crash.
  • They teach them to be resilient, to persevere and to be persistent.
  • Safety-Net Parents are not their children's friends first.
  • They create boundaries and stick to them.
  • They teach their children the power of self-belief, and how to give to others.
  • Safety-Net Parents model the life skills they want their children to own, while knowing that there are reasons for obstacles in the road, but never excuses for throwing in the towel.
